What about Lexus? Hint: when i refer to "a maker of expensive Toyotas" I think it's quite clear that (bear a moment with me) I was setting Lexus as a different maker from Toyota.

The XJ220 was a sexy, curvaceous, beautiful machine from a builder with a long tradition of racing that, in the years before launching the XJ220, had managed to win Le Mans again. Twice. It had pedigree, flair and charm.

My mileage varies. I'm so fed up of choking in the carcinogens that A3 TDIs emit that I'm afraid my vision of that design is not impartial.

I thought we were talking about liners, and in Europe at least there's not a lot of available space for cargo in the hold.

Chek mait.

Pure Essence of Aussiemeness.

It's evident that Audi doesn't mean to change its design language in a loooooooooong time. Following in the footsteps of Porsche, it seems.

Spel wel, u baekfirin Gramar Natsi!

...which sold much better than the original "Little Bird" at the expense of brand dilution.

So was orbit transference, but it had to be someone who finally took the ideas into practice.

Then why the heck do they keep losing baggage while the people actually go where they meant to go?

Completely agreed.

The difference is that NASA uses public funding and can have all the resources of the State behind (Apollo, anyone?). Neither Branson nor Musk can.

Which was pretty cutting edge, BTW. And it was funded by taxpayer money.

Compare their cost. I think that the original Space Shuttle concept (a big plane that reaches high altitude, with the Shuttle itself riding piggyback) is the way to go, until we have the orbital shipyards that the Russians are planning.

Neither do we need to send humans much further right now. IMHO we should focus on building "orbital shipyards" in NEO or MEO to be able to travel to the Moon, the Lagrangian points or maybe even Mars without having to build such humongous rockets.

Now's the season for that, but I'd recommend handmade horchata (with a fartòn bun on the side) if available, industrially produced it's not quite the same.

So, an untested and more expensive Soyuz-style craft.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a nickel battery has more nickel in it than a micrometre-thick nickel plating. Even if you galvanise a limousine, it has less nickel than a Pious.

Same thing in Andalusia. But ina different way, as in "With the Moors my city was the capital of the Western world, now it's a shithole". Oblivious to the fact that the "shithole" enjoys a standard of living, sanitation and freedom the Moors couldn't even dream of, and the slightly embarrasing fact (for them) that
