You don't need insurance if you set up a self insure account that you can't withdraw from. I do our medical insurance this way.

A camera isn’t even necessary. My 2010 Volvo sends me a warning message about the rear seat belts being in use without a passenger detected every time I go somewhere without my kids in their car seats. I would hope Tesla could keep up with 12+ year old technology.

Tesla has a cabin camera in the Model 3/Y, but due to privacy concerns, it is opt-in and currently it is only being used to send a short clip to Tesla in the event of an accident or AEB activation.
