Seriously, if this works, it’d going to be so exciting. I hardly even care about it’s practical applications. It’s theoretical implications alone are staggering. I mean, if conservation of momentum isn’t inviolable, what would that even mean for physics?

Maybe have evolution thought in school, if creationism must be thought, then make it very clear that evolution and creationism can co-exist (like how the Roman Catholic Church teaches it: evolution of the physical world, big bang caused by God, “Dieu Horlogeur”, and the soul was created as is.), it’s a way less

I read “Legal Intervention” as physician-assisted suicide. It’s only legal in certain states, Oregon being chief among them, so it makes sense that it would be Oregon’s most distinctive cause of death when most other states simply don’t allow that type of death to begin with.

Right?! I thought it was widely known and well-established that the Vikings traveled to and traded with the Midle East. How about the Varangian Guards of the Byzantine Empire? Viking presence in that part of the world in that era was so so well established they were the elite imperial guard fo the Eastern Roman

Its funny that everyone seems so focused on the Arabs coming north option, but the Vikings went a good ways south, through the rivers of Russia, and on into the Black Sea. A lot of early Russian kingdoms (and the word Rus itself) are thought to have derived from Nordic ancestry, and they had contact with Byzantium

These fucking assholes should go home and reconsider their life choices.

I can just see Ward blowing Garrett's brains out in front of a horrified Skye, saying "See, see? I killed the bad guy! Now you have to love me!"

I vote for Trip. His grandad was a Howling Commando. That's something else he can brag to an aroused Simmons about in front of an annoyed Fitz. I believe Deathlok's planned redemption is on the way. Has he ever actually killed anybody (of the good guys)? During the faux-Clairvoyant hunt, when he attacked Blake, there

Sitting around a pot of coffee they'd discuss the great philosophical questions of the day, like which was the best meatball recipe, and how to wear candles on your head without setting your hair on fire. (I may not know a lot about Swedish culture.)

You've already nailed it. Specifically, I would recommend the Witches and City Guard Discworld novels. The romance is minimal and absolutely practical at the same time, which makes it barely romance. And the humor is top-notch. The themes are thought-provoking in a non-"Oh gods why do I even go on living?!" kind

Something like this? I hope you meant Michael Westen and not Michael Weston because, really, I see no resemblance to Michael WestOn. :)

The Doctor!

This guy.

Legion, or the Geth as a whole anyway, via the Mass Effect series. They are life created outside humanity entirely, but they want the same basic things. They have a history of being immediately feared a persecuted, fighting a war against their alien creators, wining said war, even preserving their creators history

It is supported on multiple levels. They have basic characteristics of mammals such as warm bloodedness, some hair, suckling, breathing air. Their skeletal structure shows the vestiges of land walking. Their genes show a common ancestor. Etc.
