I think I would be trying to kill them at every turn. While I hate them, I don't hate the acting/script they have. Just something about them seems naggingly EVIL to my brain. ( and it's kinda why I loved the game. Not every character has to be likable whether they're good or bad, morally)

I don't think so. It's not stopping people from being able to play the game at all. And you do have to own both the WiiU and 3ds version in order to save swap anyway.
