I shouldn't be surprised, in hindsight, LA Noire is pretty much an RPG... Japan loves their lengthy, engaging RPGs

actually no, they didn't get all the old voice actors, they changed several like Gohan, Bulma and Frieza as well as most of the Ginyu Force... some were improvements (Frieza), others felt like downgrades (Guldo and Jeice in particular)
it's a temporary reboot where things'll be back to the way things were after all is done and over with, but with some changes here and there reflecting on the brief reboot... pretty much imagine House of M

amusingly, the dialog for the game was "wing damage" or "twin blasters" but sped up or slowed down.
the movie remains a silly guilty pleasure. Plus it serves as a reminder for Hollywood what NOT to do when it comes to adapting videogames into movies.
I played it for the first time when the 360 had it as a downloadable. I suppose it might've been great for its time and I liked the rechargeable shield concept, but I utterly hated the Warthog's controls.
...Well, CRAP. 12 years later and it's overturned... I remember trading the crap out of the cards and seeing kids play them around the cafeteria when I was in middle school.
I'd figure Ocarina of Time 3D kind of serves as the 25th anniversary celebration game... by rereleasing a game from 12 years ago.
