7 and a half years ago I moved all the way across the US to the West Coast... No job, no car- and moved in with the man I'd been long distance dating. He had just moved there a month prior with no job, and no car. We each had a bit saved up but were mostly flying by the seat of our pants. Now we have a house, are

I think you might be spot on- I suppose they can't possibly train for every single possible event out of thousands. How long did you push before they decided to give you a c-section? You are so strong to have taken care of a newborn with all of those complications! It was hard enough just with my stitches, I can't

Jesus Christ! That sounds intensely horrifying. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Was it incompetence on behalf of the docs? Or is that just one of those rare things?

Oh my god you GET it! Wish I could hug you. I tore internally in two places and had 2nd degree tears of my perineum so I was swollen for 6 weeks. I swear my buttcrack was distended two inches further out than normal. I told my husband I felt like my tailbone was fractured and his response was "well you pushed for 4

Thank you! Your kind words make my heart feel better about things. Someone said "9 months up, 9 months down"- so I guess I just need to learn to be patient.

I had heard that warning so I didn't look until 7 and a half weeks had passed ! It's definitely not my old vagina by a LONG shot. Didn't even recognize it. Yikes.

Thank you for your reply! There are days when I wish I had opted for the c-section. But hearing stories like yours make me realize that there are certainly pros and cons to both types of delivery. Thanks for the club welcome, too :) Other new mothers I run into give looks like "you know what it's like" and give little

so this is late since I'm on the west coast AND sleepless near Seattle- but if anyone is out there who can share their experience of physically recovering from giving birth I'm interested in hearing the tale! I gave birth 9 weeks ago and nothing about my body feels like 'me' yet. Everything is a different shape,

Thank you for these! Your comment made me laugh for a good five minutes. Thank you :)

When you get past a certain age ALL of your body hair gets lighter. :) It even goes white/grey!

I'm only 35 and already my black body hair is coming in lighter and lighter with streaks of grey. Madonna is in her late 50's or early 60's, yeah? I can't remember. Even leg hair is lighter and lighter all the time! It's very surreal when you realize that you suddenly have grey pubes. My mom is in her early 60's and

The part where she was giving David Bowie a gentle kiss- what was that from? And damnit if that Bjork song didn't make me burst into tears...Tilda you are AMAZING!

Cinemassacre- aka the Angry Video Game Nerd. Have fun!

Love that guy! His videos rock.

Sunshine always gets rid of KP so it's nice to have it in a bottle during the winter :) Strive for 3000 iu's a day. I learned about the magnesium after noticing the KP calm way down after an epsom salt bath soak- magnesium is so underrated! Chocolate forever.

No Min Woo!

Group painting classes, dog tricks club, stitch n' bitch, google hang out for books, polymer clay classes...

Every single day take vitamin D3, and magnesium in capsule form. It's the only thing that calms mine down and makes my arms look normal. The only other thing that helped before the vitamins was avoiding refined sugar and dark chocolate. I'll take supplements before I give up good chocolate :)

It's definitely a red flag...

I really wish that this were a huge shock. It would mean that it's rare to hear of stuff like this. But my first thought? "Of course. Of course he did."
