with less time you just start in Single User Mode (cmd+s) and use the root shell to do whatever you want. Even create a hidden admin account, yay! Fully compromised system in 20 seconds.

Actually, with other *nix systems you can use the lock file so that starting the shell in SUM requires the lock password.

It worked for me no problem. I'm on the 64bit guest and I'm on OS X 10.6.8 for the host. Make sure you do the 'compatibility' mode on the actual installer, not on the autorun, then just manually run the installer.
that worked for me, it was a windowed VM. Guess I have to see if the Win7 VMWare tools will install on Win 8.
Whenever I see a browser that can't use plugins my first thought isn't flash or no flash, it's that every website I visit is going to be loaded with ads because I can't install ABP.
