There’s a pretty obvious difference there though-- Amazon was doing that while already essentially being one of the world’s largest retailers-- they were just pumping profits back into development. The latter part isn’t an issue (it’s what virtually all companies do when growing-- if not to the extent Amazon did)--

ACA?

I mean....win or lose a vote comes in the lame duck

How?

Fuck every smug fuck who still defends being a splitter or purist in 2016

It's kind of hilarious that a guy with a voting record virtually indistinguishable from Joe Biden’s was able to spin himself as a progressive champion thanks to a few timely stands in symbolic legislation that had no chance of passing and may have actually harmed its goal

This was just such a weird race- you had the Senatorial equivalent of Joe Crowley or Elliott Engel (complete with a similar disdain/passivity to constituent service) cast as a progressive icon vs a House member with a virtually identical voting record (minus Markey’s votes in support of the 1994 Crime Bill and the

I mean..... as someone who works on the political side of Repro.... this is literally an intentional strategy by th smarter elements of the a it movement— if you slowly chip away at tights and add barriers you not only have more room constitutionally (with a predominantly epublican judiciary) you also avoid the

The sudden shift from sins and/or hypcrosies to fucking Bond Villan/Manafort Client is jarring-- Pat Robertson is next level evil

Ironically, the reason Kennedy has any chance at all is the same reason AOC did when she primaried a progressive legislator-- the incumbent has ignored his constituents and hasn't spent enough time in the district he represents

At least some of the blame has to fall on the Greenwald at-left media complex, between their defense of this guy and their pushing of Tara Reade it’s become pretty fucking clear (if it hadn’t already been) that the leading lights of Progressive Journalism care far more about the former than they do the latter

Jackson had human traits and some actual positive characteristics-- not saying he wasn’t a monster but he was definitely a better person and President than Trump.

Also... these assholes don't fucking live in the suburbs-- they live in the heart of St. Louis right next to the park

It's an appendix to the Little Red Book, it comes right after Mao's writings on Social Media censorship

Diddler was just sitting there....

This. This is the much, much bigger thing— I don’t really give a shit who/what the Falwells’s sex life involves so long as it’s legal (in this case it might not be depending on where the funds came from) -- but blackmailing an “religious leader” to gain his endorsement is pretty fucking illegal.

“trinity” — yeah Giancarlo isn’t the only one— there’s also a “trainer” in Lynchburg that magically got the Falwell’s to finance his gym and the Michael Cohen-Trump issue.....

I think he’s genuine in his opinions— his wife basically had the same public position as he currently has her entire multi-decade career up until mid-2016 (and I use mid purposefully because there’s shit tons of footage from the 2016 GOP Primary of Kellyanne talking about Trump and basically saying all the shit her

That someone is genuinely liked on a personal level by both Bernie Sanders and Lindsey Graham to the point that both at various times and to their own political detriment were hesitant to attack him is a pretty strong testament to at the very least the personal character of the man.

This and the bit in Biden’s speech where he spoke to people grieving were really, really striking not just because they highlighted one of the truly great things about Biden (and I say this as someone for whom he was not a first or really top 5 choice) and even more strikingly something just....absent from Trump
