It’s insane that I’d feel a lot better if Dick Cheney was pulling the strings than I do now-- at least the initial invasion was planned (however short-sighted and completely lacking in adequate post-military victory said planning was) -- now it’s like we’re watching a drunk play an RPG.

Oh god, the douchey Ramsey-stans in the cafe.....

I’m not saying I’d buy a ticket to a movie where Vader is Sheev’s long-suffering wingman, but I’d definitely put a series on that in the streaming cue. Kind of a “Death of Stalin” esque comedy with RomCom elements?

Plus- for basically everyone who isn’t a Droid, Jedi or race immune/resistant to force magic- you have to assume he was throwing down a pretty strong mind trick akin to a glamour in other scifi/fantasy canon.

40% Self-inflicted (Warren in the early Fall was in that “Obama sweet spot” where there was just enough ambiguity that both moderates and progressive could project their hopes on to her candidacy; drilling down and further scrutiny on M4A has hurt her more than any other candidate— moderates now rank her alongside

You don’t see the paradox between “people are marching in the streets chanting “Death to America” and “Iran kills dissenters”?

Ironic curse from witch he screwed over in business is looking distressingly plausible.

The alternative is what... hoping no one fill the vacuum? China already is, and with far less than even the US’s admittedly opportunistic concern for Human Rights. Doing nothing? I seem to recall the US also being blasted for this be it for doing nothing—Rwanda, the Congo, the current cultural genocide of the Uighurs

Eh...... on murdered, this was probably a dumb move given the Trump Administration’s general level of forethought and planning but the guy did help orchestrate the deaths of American troops and perhaps of more relevance to you Syrian and Iraqi non-combatants.

That’s not fair.

As the resident British politics correspondent--Boris opts out right? Uses a general "we're busy with Brexit" excuse?

Hell in 2003, that "12" shit wouldn't have flown

Alternatively, immigrant saves storied company, faces wildly disproportionate punishment in country noted for its extreme xenophobia

I mean I’m not saying he’s clean by any means but I'm reading that the potential punishment was  disproportionate to Japanese Execs faced over similar accusations

Nina Turner would be such a shitshow of a VP nominee, she’d make Pete look seasoned by comparison. Then again it could be worse, he could go with an even more out of the box loyalist choice and reach out to Tulsi.

2 of the 3 are long-term members of the party they’re running to lead and the third is a bit of a Johnny-come lately dilettante whose already registered to run for the Senate in 2024 as an independent?

Also, say what you will about the man and his ideological consistency but Buttigieg is verbally fluent in a way few other politicians at any level are-- he’s not Obama-level in terms of soaring rhetoric but he’s really reminiscent of Bill Clinton in terms of his ability to breakdown and explain complex policies in a

Though as someone who works in politics I’m still surprised by Booker’s lack of traction- on paper he’s a better version of Buttigieg (minus the military service) and on the stump he’s by far the best remaining candidate in terms of working a room or an arena.

I also think people are underselling the depth of Biden’s support among older African-American voters- it’s not just name recognition or loss aversion-- hell, Bernie’s been in National office for going on three decades and his supporter coalition is only diverse when compared to the numbers of the other non-Biden

I mean....people don’t want to mention it but the Southern primaries are, at least at this point, going to carry Biden to the nomination.
