I’m not saying Bill Clinton was great on race but FDR definitely has some at the very least “questionable” policy decisions that dwarf any of Clintons- the counter is he also had true titanic achievements that tower over S-CHIP and Midnight Basketball. 

FDR pretty famously slept around on Eleanor-- plus internment (and that’s with giving him a pass on the racism in Social Security and killing anti-lynching legislation in order to secure passage of the New Deal).    On the whole a great President and a great man but not exactly a moral paragon.  

And yet—- on the whole, judging as a President, he’s pretty indisputably the best President the US has had since at least LBJ if not Truman/FDR.
