True. But that’s a huge problem with direct cash payments to various governments as well.

AOC doesn’t exactly unify the caucus; I mean that’s probably one of Pelosi’s greater strengths- being to the left of 75-85% of her caucus but still maintaining their support.

I mean I kind of assumed a pissed off Wakanda financed a lot it-- Wakanda not essentially running the planet at the start of Endgame is only really explicable in a “It would disgrace T’Challa’s memory” kind of way. 

I mean the problem with a sub-60 Speaker is it has to be someone who has served long enough to have credibility with the a majority of their caucus which is pretty hard to do unless they were elected AOC early and are currently in their 40s or 50s. 

There’s a third option, which while potentially fraught with it’s own drawbacks (especially given the current state of the Republican base) is the path that this country has gone down historically— redefine the boundaries of “white”.

Or Castro. He and his brother’s lack of Spanish fluency been a relatively long-running trope, but it’s possible he’s become fluent in the last few years.

If literally any other candidate did the Bernie shuffle on racial justice (trying to whitesplain that it’s merely a subset of economic justice) they’d be rightfully derided, if Bernie does it again I wouldn’t be all that shocked if it’s called “thoughtful”. 

Kind of feels like Booker and Castro are being held to a higher standard on this than Warren. 

I don’t know— Bush benefits from having some actual positive traits that people latch on to and over value- Trump is almost unique in his absence of said traits.
