yup.  When I told my parents (once I was in my 20s) about my brother, three guesses on who they believed, and the first two don’t count.  They couldn’t and can’t conceive that their precious son regularly assaulted me.  Much easier to go with “She’s always been the dramatic one...” etc etc then disown The Precious
