For some reason, this reminds me of Orwell's 1984.

If you check some warez forums and do a search you will find Veriface for downloading or you could even google "veriface" and "r*pidsh*re" together and some links might pop up. But in all, veriface just does a visual for the log-in. Failure to have the right mug or log-in pass will not result in bells and whistles.

VOTE: AI Roboform. I love the portable even though I seldom have to use it AND it does a lot more than keep passwords. It does fill-in forms, keeps other data of importance, and suggest complex passwords.

Thank the gods, I'm a beer drinker.

Mikey likes it.

Thanks Lifehacker. The gods have shined upon me today.

When I was a kid - just after the earth's crust began to cool - my father used to take one of those old square floor fans and stick it in the window "backwards" so that it sucked the inside air OUT of the house. Of course, cooler outside air was being drawn IN from other windows. At the time, I thought he was nuts

OK, after all is said and done . . . does anybody know how to up together a greasemonkey script to make this work?

I've got a truck load of old floppies. I think I'll start selling them on e-Bay.

A colander with size-appropriate openings might also work. Dump the popcorn into the colander and give it a few shakes and a toss or two over the sink or something to collect the fall out.

Don't be so cheap! Buy extra memory and have the best of both worlds. Of course, if you're like me, limited my your processor . . . well, that's another thingy. Motherboard, anyone?

Or just get Directory Opus. Yeah, I know. Will break the bank. Looking for when they will post it on GiveAwayOfTheDay. Might surpass Firefox 3 download.

I wish they had something for touch pads on laptops.

Vote: Directory Opus. Last Xmas, they offered 40% off their usual price. I'm hoping they will offer it again this year so I can use a legit copy.

Great! I've got just the caption for a picture of Geroge W: "Stupid is as . . . stupid is, I guess."

Luv the pen. Do they also sell pens for men where you got that one?

Paragon Hard Disk Manager has saved my butt many times.

Gee, will you look at the response to his topic! With the number of people responding you can only conclude that (a) people are doing a little more at work than their job description; or (b) they live in LA and don't work at all. I live in LA, BTW.

Adam writes: "If you don't like the new behavior, a couple of small about:config tweaks, as detailed in the Mozilla Links post, will get you back to the old-style fullscreen."
