And given my age, it would likely result in a hard reset of my stomach as well.
It does, with one caveat. I did the same thing for some time, until... my NAS started experiencing problems. First, one of the HDDs went bad, but I had them mirrored so that was no problem apart from the challenge of finding a replacement HDD. I ended up replacing both because the original HDDs weren't available.
