Not sure who you were responding to. I'm totally in agreement with your philosophy—I pay cash (or mostly cash) and do my own repairs. It has saved me thousands.

No, we don't need to go back to the old system, but what about requiring the account to have some degree of history before inline image posting is allowed?

Actually, there's a good suggestion below. Require the account to have some degree of history before inline image posting is allowed.

Interest costs are minor? It suppose it depends: buying a $20K vehicle at 2% interest and financing over 60 months is approximately $1K additional cost for the vehicle. That has to be considered in any analysis of cash+keep car longer, especially if you replace the car as soon as it is paid off.

Are you really cookie monster in disguise?

I'm not sure if it is a tort versus a criminal statute, but the reference was clear that the above factors were critical to determining if a recording (video or audio) was to run afoul of Florida law.

You're close, but it isn't quite that simple (wish it were). The fact that the car is private property (and not a public place) actually hurts the case, not helps. Florida is a two-party consent state. However, there are four key elements to any claim to "intrusion upon seclusion":

Lots of people that do asinine and childish things are OK with it. That doesn't make them worthy of respect.

Well, you cared enough to post two responses so... it isn't an assumption, it's a fact. Or do you always waste your time responding to things you don't care about?

Great! And that means precisely squat.

Rationalize it however it works for you, man.

Ummm... if I settle down any more I'll fall asleep, but whatever.

I have no love for Chad, but this is a pretty cowardly thing to do. No context, no added perspective from him, no way to defend himself against your allegation. We have no way of knowing your motivations, whether you are being truthful, deceiving by omission either deliberately or because of poor memory, etc.

As a father of three boys who's spent the last ten years going to scout camps every summer—I can attest that this kind of stuff isn't useful in America either.

While you can be right, I think part of the difference between good and bad debt should be: what effect the money and SCALE of money borrowed has on your future earning potential. So if getting a degree improves your future earning potential, great! But if the scale of money borrowed places an anchor around your neck

Respectfully disagree.

In my experience working with Law Enforcement, they usually have guidance from the Attorney General on what they expect when a case is brought to them. If the standards are not met, they will not accept or pursue the case. You can imagine that they would quickly learn that it is a giant waste of time to pursue cases

I'm sorry, but the writing in ParaNorman alone should have prevented it from being nominated. The voice acting was mediocre as well. There are many, many details (music, cinematography, voice acting) in Brave that make it worthy of consideration at least and certainly not derision. We can reasonably argue about

Ooo, good pull.

"There are plenty of ignorant, factual rationalizations in support of "Redskins"
