Oof, that Vanity Fair moment hurt. To be fair, I’m not sure how many people have read the book or seen an onscreen version of it. Probably too niche a comment for the red carpet. 

I have to admit, I’ve never been totally into the red carpet aspect of galas and award shows. As an adult, I’ve also lost interest in awards shows altogether. All the hoopla and awards just started to seem very silly. It made me actually appreciate the lower-key outfits in this slideshow; they spoke to my exhaustion…

I assumed they called and asked if she wanted to perform. Who would say no besides someone late in their career? I saw a clip and thought, “WTF?”, 🍌ut I also didn’t appreciate how sour some of the stars looked. Just crack a smile or something!
