Being a PC guy, only Apple products I own are first gen iTouch & iPad. When the iPad goes south I'll almost certainly buy a Surface, unless they turn out to be a huge pile of poo.

Still the same problem of getting the Win98 system to work with the virtual hardware but I may give it a try if nothing else pans out. I assume I could just make an image out of the old drive and import it into VMware Workstation.

Lots! Right now I'm trying to upgrade a Win98 computer to XP. Grrrrr! Need to keep the older programs in working order and don't have install disks. Main problem is I'm moving the system to a newer computer so I can't even boot up to upgrade. The XP CD boot install keeps overwriting the old Windows! I've tried…
