Yeah, I am curious about this as well. I currently have a 1070 in my PC and the game is running smooth at medium-high settings. Some occasional slowdown and lag, but no crashes or other notable performance issues. I will be upgrading to a 3060ti soon, curious to see if I get a big performance drop on the new hardware

I agree, I’ve had minimal issues as well.

This is the first Battlefield game I’ve played since 2142 and so far, with about 50 hours in on PC, I’m having a good time with it. It’s a nice change of pace from CoD for me, especially since I can in part offset my general lack of FPS skill by rezzing people and giving them armor. Like you, I’ve had the respawn bug

The notion that there needs to be some kind of collective, objective Judgment on whether a game is “good” or “bad” is already a fatally flawed notion to begin with.

99.9% of the time my load outs do work, so while I won’t argue 50% for you (plus or minus anecdotal bias mind you) that hasn’t been my experience and out of all the bugs people are complaining about in chat, that hasn’t been one of them. I’ve played 60 hrs and it’s happened to me once and I’ve seen two people complain

You’re in good company when your ratings are ugly.

Consensus on whether a franchise installment is “good” or “bad” is simply a function of the weather. The internet looks around at each other and everyone nervously asks, “Are we okaying this one or shitting on it?” and then they pick one and the collective mind takes over.

This is important. Battlefield is not meant to be a min/max Meta’d game. No one really cares if you carry the game by yourself. Its meant to be a sandbox where you can blow shit to high hell and then turn around and be blown to high hell yourself.

it’s hard getting one at spawn, but also very easy to just spawn in a truck and drive to a tank if you’re happy being a gunner

Congratulations, they discovered the concept of copyright...but without the centuries of infrastructure to support and enforce them.

wait, so you’re telling me EVERYONE will get to enjoy my previously exclusive procedurally generated monkey?!

Based on all the dents in the poles before the strike I’d say the union guys run those tractors into the wall plenty by themselves.

I would have it tow an autonomous boat to the lake while I stayed home. Or maybe an autonomous race car. Whatever the fuck those are supposed to be...

Username checks out!

I will never understand why the revived GTO that was a Pontiac-badged Holden Monaro gets the scorn it does. The GTO of the 60s was a Pontiac LeMans/Tempest with a performance package. It evolved into something sort of stand-alone in 1966 (in as much as a WRX ‘isn’t’ an Impreza) but was certainly a very pedestrian

Honest question to those clutching pearls about this name (because clearly the issue is the name not the car, there would be zero articles if this with the ILWhatever)......what is the dividing point between ‘good’ revival/use of classic nameplate and ‘bad’?

She’s been in a happy, committed relationship for five years with Joe Alwyn and just put out two of her most critically acclaimed albums last year. But, sure, stick with that narrative from 2012.

Let me address the common complaints, one by one.

Show the court on the teddy bear where Jalopnik hurt you.

This is why any trust-fund kid who gets a million dollars from Daddy and then claims to be a self-made entrepreneur is completely full of shit.”

Anyone in recent history come to mind? ;)
