Well those A-pillar gauges probably mean there have been some engine (or boost) modifications over time, which aren’t necessarily a horrible thing (but could be depending on how crazy they got with it), but if a compression-test checks out and spark plugs show no sign of oil (and the oil shows no sign of coolant), NP.

I can appreciate the clean lines and the history of the Aerovette. There’s a beauty in the simplicity of the shape, just like is the case with the original Lotus Esprit. When you get the shape right, you don’t necessarily need a lot of visual help.
