I am not Catholic, but I'm giving up my Miata project until I finish rebuilding my bathroom (new stack, all new plumbing, fixtures, tile, etc.) it's been dragging on too long so I must stop f-ing around with the Miata for the next 6 weeks or so and finish the damn bathroom, so it's kind of like Lent.

I love these and toyed with building one a few years ago when I had garage space. But like any project like this, you will have more into it than you can sell it for, especially if you aren't a perfectionist; and this guy clearly isn't. Yes, it will cost $20K to build a nice 914 V8 but this one doesn't look to be that…

When is Toyota going to come up with a Direct Injection engine? It seems like other Mfrs are getting better mileage and power with the DI units and Toyota is lagging behind. maybe Lotus should try Mazda power.
