If they're going to redo it, all I ask is that they either keep the original voice recordings, or bring back as much of the original cast as possible.

It's no different then the wildly popular Skylanders with the exception that each playset is it's own game. Cars World is racing based, Monsters University has an emphasis on scaring and The Lone Ranger has been shown to be an action game.
Combine this with the ability to publish levels that combine all of them…

For most people it's nostalgia.

But for others, they can look past the dated graphics and appreciate the gameplay and story lines of a time-long-gone.
