$15 for WildStar is pushing it for my finances but that game looks worth it.
This was EXACTLY my reaction.
That's not necessarily the case. Think of it this way. You have 5 targets attacking you. In order to make the encounter easier you need to take as many as possible out of the fight. In most MMORPG PvE encounters you'd have each person lock down one of the enemies with a form of cc, and it was their responsibility to…
Because you typically use these abilities to control crowds of enemies and stop them all from ransacking you.
I tend to agree with this and actually told some of the Devs as such. As it stands the sub is $15. I still wish it were $8 or $10 though.
I think I can address some of your concerns here since I was discussing this topic at length with my friends today.
I'm not sure I agree with this. If the market and crafting options are robust enough, the economy will support higher end gamers being able to use their profits to fund their game.
It's funny F2P has become the trend, but more and more MMO Gamers have been commenting that they wish more games were Sub based instead of getting spammed with F2P store advertisements and a business model designed to FORCE you to pay in order to get anything.
That's pretty fucking awesome.
They rope 'em in young.
As long as the Parental Controls allow me to restrict that channel entirely we should be good. It's nothing but fucking Drama-Porn.
Oh, and for all the flack Microsoft is taking for "180's", Nintendo take notes.
Bets on how long before we see a SKU advertised at $399 without the Kinect?
One of the best reasons I'd heard that I would not have thought of on my own was: requiring a camera to always be plugged in is something that makes women in particular (understandably) uncomfortable.
I'm pretty sure the Million Dollar CE is a parody of stupidly costly CE's like this one and not actually meant to be taken seriously or expected to actually sell.
Well I know that; they do it because they haven't been stopped by law yet like everyone else.
Sure is convenient for all of these game designers to come out of the woodwork defending the XBOX One DRM well after the consumer firestorm and the reversal...
Kinda making my point there. How would you have felt if you were still at the old place, were told you'd have the DVR function to share with friends, and then later were told it's not only online required...but also requires you to pay for Gold to use the feature?
That is not how it was presented to people at launch.
