That's what I'm thinking. Luthor's going to have a LEGION of people behind him going "He's an alien menace!"
It's also not to say Microsoft would do the same Steam did. They wouldn't be bound by necessity to offer such great deals. In fact it would be counter-intuitive for Microsoft to offer such sharp discounts on their digital games.
Brofist for being the only other person I've seen with a Steam account that's 10+ years old. Started with the CS:Source / CS 1.6 conversion too.
You know, I never thought of it that way. Btw... just noticed your login & icon is ACTUALLY Commander Keen. MASSIVE Kudos.
Yeah, Early Steam is kind of the proof case for the dangers of what Microsoft wanted to do with the Xbox One. The reason they started offering such deep discounts is because they needed to in order to attract people to their store.
Most people HATED Steam when it first launched. Their first experience with it was 2004 when HL2 released in retail and digital.
But hey, it's all the fault of those dirty unions in the end, right?
I count that as "doing the conversion".
I knew someone would actually do the conversion! And while I'm sure the author was just trying to be funny, I'm glad you pointed out the amount/correction.
See, THAT is an interesting idea, path based gear bonuses that help you unlock more path based content. I hadn't thought of that. I was thinking more along the lines of a dungeon encounter that required some players to complete a jumping puzzle while others do more combat related things.
See, I don't necessarily agree with the importance of gear, but that's MY thing. I was always more interested in seeing the progression of Story in WoW than actually getting the best shinnies. I can respect that other players have other motivators though, and that's why I think you're generally right in that there…
While I don't necessarily agree with everything you said, I don't really disagree with it either. You make a GREAT point on the dangers of paid vanity items looking clearly better than anything you can get through normal progression. You're right in that it runs the risk of undercutting the rewards you receive,…
I think you guys have a bit of a rose tinted glasses syndrome going on with 40 mans and subs vs f2p.
Odd... Aion's been going strong with a smallish community for years now.
Meh, I honestly enjoyed the combat of Tera. Absolutity loved it!
I'm sorry, but you're mistaken with calling WildStar a glorified tab targeting system. If you don't aim, you miss. That's a bit miss.
You're not really wrong. When I played WildStar at PAX East, the free flow of combat reminded me of Tera, but everything seemed more...finished. The world is a LOT less...shallow. And the telegraphs for where you will hit are a brilliant addition.
I'd like to point out that Endless Space - Emperor Edition is actually a relatively BAD deal.
Dammit I was REALLY hoping for that Dishonored deal. :(
