    The offset of gas to EV production proves my point even more. Gas is more readily available, more reliable and everyone has grown up using it. I’m not saying that EV’s will never catch on, but the point that the government had to incentivize it would immediately throw up red flags in my mind.

    1st gear...if you have to pay people to buy something, it’s clear they don’t want it. EV’s won’t catch on until Americans find them to be substantially better than what they already have, which, sorry my friends, EV’s still have a ways to go.

    That’s not always a guarantee. What about driving in the middle of the winter, there’s salt, road grime and all kinds of dirty stuff that’s going to cake those cameras and sensors up until they no longer work. Nothing beats good ol’ fashioned mirrors.

    Being a truck driver myself, one glaring issue I’m already seeing, is the centrally mounted seat. When doing what we call an “alley dock”, we have to lean out the driver’s side window in most cases to properly back into the dock. Sitting in the middle will make that very difficult.
