The fact that this car was in the news the same day that Toyota said they were going to have a 3-sports-car lineup doesn’t give me much hope for a new MR2. Which is sad, because if the world needs more of anything, it’s inexpensive mid-engined vehicles.

It makes me wish for a nice “understated” design like an Evo. <— words I never thought I would say.

Good thing we only care about auto executive bonuses and not assembly line workers.

I would add having a CAI that’s actually a HAI.

At my local autocross they are referred to as “all-compromise tires”. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Phones cost $600-1000 and change ever year. Cars cost $15000+ and change every 4-5 years at most. Seems relatively reasonable.

When I lived in Hong Kong I saw all kinds of exotica on the street. Lots of Lamborghinis and McLarens shortly after they were released, so they were pretty rare at the time, but not in the long run. The most unusual car I saw was probably a Pagani Zonda.

I had a Pontiac Fiero with no passenger key cylinder in the hole, because I locked my keys in the trunk once while the front was still open, and it was cheaper to remove one of the key cylinders and take it to a locksmith to have a new key made from it, than to have a locksmith come out. However, if I had realized

If it _did_ blow cold air on you, it wouldn’t be very good automatic climate control.

Or if he bought it used, the previous owner had removed it.

I like how you left out that it was a Syclone until later.

People seem to get pissed off about it everywhere these days. I don’t even bother anymore, the only vehicle I will flash are semis, because they know what it means.

Indeed they have. I think safety is a part of the reason, but I think it’s more of a marketing and consumer brain issue. People like getting more for their money, even when that “more” is mostly empty space inside a steel chassis.

Every time I see one of these I mistake it for an Accord Coupe. Civics have grown way too big now. I think it’s about time for Honda to drop the 1.5T in the Fit and give us a Fit Si.

It seems to be a common thing on the internet. If something doesn’t meet their needs, they can’t understand how it could possibly meet anyone else’s needs either.

I like how you bought it in the color that hides the side blades the best.

Also imagine the buyback value on the recall.

So those guys designed the exterior and interior of the car. Who do you think did all the engineering work to make it more than just a pretty statue? I’d be willing to be that some of the engineers at Lotus who worked with Opel had a hand in that, since they apparently designed the original show car.
