My wife has a Honda Fit. It’s no sports car, but it’s way better to drive than any FWD GM vehicle I’ve ever driven (which does not include any Opels, it’s limited to Chevys and Pontiacs). Of course, it’s a long way off from my old 91 Integra LS, which I would say is a sports car with it’s FWD and all that. Not a…
In the early 00's I had a loaner Acura TL-S, FWD with 270hp one time. It had surprisingly good traction control. It was always composed and never even spun the tires...unless you turned off the traction control. Then it was a torque steering tire smoking monster.
I never said they didn’t make some nice cars (they do). But they have also made (and still do) some terrible cars...which have been/are generally FWD. I will admit, I haven’t driven anything newer than a 2010 except for their entry level vehicles (formerly Cobalt, now Spark), which are still pretty terrible.
I’ve never driven one, but they’re kinda heavy these days, so my hopes aren’t high. But like IRS4 suggested, numbers aren’t everything. In particular, power isn’t everything. I’ve driven 120hp cars which were more fun to drive than 240hp cars, and sub-300hp cars which were more fun to drive than 400+hp cars.
That’s true, but it’s still an FWD vehicle made by GM. Would not be surprised if it’s bad.
Which world’s largest economy? The US, or China? Depending on how you count, the answer is different.
I test drove a Spark while car shopping for the wife. If the Spark is competitive with anything, I don’t want to drive whatever it’s competition is.
You realize all of these cars are already made in the USA, and won’t be affected by any of Trump’s proposed tarrifs?
Or at least in-dash touchscreen monochrome CRTs.
Sorry, I forgot Canada. We never had the SiR in the US. I thought it was Europe/Asia only, didn’t realize you had it in Canada too.
There was a 4-door Integra sedan, but it never had the popularity of the 3-door hatch. I’ve never driven one, but I’m skeptical it had the handling, either.
They only used SiR outside of North America the US. In the US it was either Si or Type R.
If I was sitting on the back of a moving vehicle, a sudden stop is not what I would want. As far as I can tell from the tiny video, it appears to be a nice gradual slowdown....which is what I would want, in the biker’s position.
It’s funny how many supposed republicans are for states rights, except when the states want to do something they don’t like.
You can sue anyone for just about anything. Whether you’ll win is another matter.
It’s just hot water, not tea, though in places where they don’t give you hot water, people will use the first pot of tea for it instead. You use it to wash your silverware/dishes before you eat. People even do this in places in mainland China where your dishes come shrinkwrapped. I guess they want to be sure it’s…
I don’t know about most people, but some definitely do lack taste.
I see a smiling face every time I see one of these on the street.
Maybe the XLR is red. It’s sort of a Corvette.
