And a carphone . Awesome.

Hong Kong isn’t really a good example. Yes, more people overall live in Kowloon and the New Territories, but that doesn’t mean they all drive to work. Kowloon is more densely populated than HK Island and well covered by public transportation. Nobody who lives there drives unless they are well off and can afford to

Is that a CD player mounted at a 45 degree angle on the transmission tunnel?

This is the Honda HP-X concept, powered by a mid-engined V6. If that sounds familiar, it’s because it eventually became the NSX.

Sounds like you’re assuming the replacements aren’t going to need to be replaced again. Are you planning to sell the car in less than 3 years? If not, it’ll be due for another timing belt soon...there are reasons these cars are called high maintenance.

If you time it right, you could do the same with an NSX. I’ve put 90,000 miles (which is less than half of it’s total) on mine and it’s probably worth at least as much as I originally paid for it.

So you’re saying this will be the first Mustang that understeers into a crowd of pedestrians.

2nd Gear:

Who wants to bet that it gets a derivative of the same turbo and hybrid engines that the Cayenne gets?

Here are some more Aerotechs for you, both Quad 4 and Aurora V8, taken at the GM Heritage Museum in 2008. I don’t know if any of these were auctioned off when GM was auctioning off some concept cars a number of years ago.

Maybe Jalopnik gets a cut of the profit if they drive the price up...

Motorcyles are allowed in carpool lanes in some places. However, I have no idea if this video is in one of these places or not.

Here’s one I took in a nice community out in Yuen Long a few years ago. Note the flat tire on the Rolls Royce.

I didn’t say it handled worse. Smaller cars are generally lighter and handle better.

Larger isn’t always better. When I take my NSX to the dealer, I always ask for the smallest loaner car they have. Currently that means I end up with either an ILX or a TLX, depending on what they have available. The TLX is certainly quieter, faster, and more luxurious...but I prefer the smaller, slower,

Funny you mention that, I had no problems whatsoever fitting in it, but maybe semi-realted... my biggest annoyance about the ILX loaner(s) I had is how the top of the windshield is much lower than the top of the roof. It makes forward visibility seem poor (though it’s certainly no Camaro).

Given that I’ve always heard that autobahns are built to last longer than US highways (according to a documentary I saw, it was by making the asphalt nearly twice as thick), I was surprised by the amount of road construction I saw when I rented a car and drove across Germany.

Power ratings for cars available with the same engine but different drive configurations would be amusing.

And Subaru.

I heard their owners also walked 15 miles uphill both ways in the snow to school every day.
