If they’re trying to pass off Hong Kong as Neo-Tokyo, they’re doing a pretty poor job at it since all of the signs are in Chinese, not Japanese.

That was my first thought as well, especially considering how much the setting looks like Hong Kong.
Depreciation is one of the reasons I don’t buy new cars. Pretty sure the guy the article about didn’t buy his E36 M3 new either. Though I didn’t know it at the time, my car ended up appreciating in the long run, rather than depreciating.
Uh, in what reality is $1000/mo on car costs reasonable?
In general I agree that higher speeds on rural roads are pretty safe. However, the article said he was pulled over on a road with a 45 mph speed limit. Roads with 45 mph speed limits are usually not the sort of roads where it would be safe to be doing 107 mph.
The NSX actually has electric power steering, not hydraulic.
First thing I thought when I saw this image was “Good job on making the LaFerrari look ugly, Ferrari”.
Here’s one I took last weekend, shortly after hitting 210,000 miles.
This explanation would probably play well in Japan.
Legit and factory on a different version of the same car. So, not actually legit or factory.
The not-sold-in-the-US Type R also got a more powerful engine and probably a bunch of other changes including extra lightness.
Well, it’s a Panamera, so it’s certainly not a beauty...
I saw the Indy at the Corvette Museum in Kentucky. Presumably it’s still there. Unfortunately it was situated that you couldn’t get too close to it. Love those door panels, though.
Sounds like pretty much the same situation as me. At least until my wife decided she *had* to have a car, so now we have a “normal” car too...so now we have two cars that hardly get driven. At least that one was cheap and is cheap to insure. Parking, on the other hand...not so cheap in a large city.
If you live somewhere that you don’t need to drive, I would expect Zipcar would be an option. Unless the only reason you don’t have to drive is that you never have to leave the house.
I had a friend who bought an early 90's V12 BMW, and he said the manual said to put it in neutral or park at stoplights to avoid wear on the transmission because the engine made so much torque.
They’re 240Z’s with more displacement, but also with more emissions controls and weight.
Yep, which is very different from the V10 engine the production car was supposed to receive.
I’ve never owned a CRX, but I never drove slow and always managed equal or better than the EPA estimates in normal driving. The “updated” ratings they show for older cars now where they mathematically came up with new numbers are laughably bad in many cases.
The first gen Insight is basically 2/3 of a Prius, and as such got about 1/3 better mileage. Note that the second gen Insight basically was a Prius, and it didn’t get any better mileage than one.
