$15K for a beater? I spent $2500 on a 12 year old integra and a new set of winter tires and had a blast.

As I was reading the article, I kept thinking that almost everything in it applies to owning an NSX. Except for the bit about the steering being heavy, and you do get the occasional non-car person asking if it’s a Ferrari and how much it cost.
Come for a visit in the summer when it’s warm. I’ll bring the NSX. Then all we need to do is find someone with an FD...
5 wasn’t completely overboard on the action yet...except the final 15-minute chase scene with 2 cars dragging a bank vault for miles.
Don't forget that prior to the Top Gear reboot with Clarkson in the lead, Tiff Needell was both Top Gear's lead presenter and its tame racing driver. Clarkson, Hammond, and May were just writers and/or TV presenters who happened to like cars.
My initial concern when Tennant replaced Eccleston was that he looked too similar to Hammond.
I like the one that suggests a Camry is the perfect car to take to break up a wedding. The whole premise of that ad just seems off to me.
Does 1985 really qualify as late 80's?
They are great in rental cars, where you're never quite sure how big the car is.
It will be as cheap to repair as a mustang in the sense that there is a used mustang at every price point covering every possible repair. Oil change? Early 80's 4-banger. Brake job? Late 80's 5.0. Engine out service? Early 2000's V6. Engine replacement? Should have bought that Mach 1.
What I've always wondered is who buys a car without test driving one first. I just can't understand that mentality.
It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow?
I had the same thought, but I guess the world already knows these are great (and much better) cars, and the price reflects that. If you can even find one which hasn't been riced out.
The NSX was always low (though at 46.1", it's no GT40), but this is exacerbated by the fact that modern cars have gotten taller over the years. If you ever see a 458 parked next to a 355, you might be surprised by how tall the 458 is.
The upside to this is if you buy an NSX and go to an owners' gathering, you are surrounded by real car guys and not brand snobs.
Minor nitpick: The 2007 "NSX replacement" (they never actually said if it would be called an "NSX" or not, though we all assumed it would) was intended to be a front-engined V10, not mid-engined.
The owner's manual for my Honda specifically says not to warm the car up unless the idle is unstable, and it's a pre-OBDII 1991 model. It does say to drive gently until the engine is up to temperature, though.
The NSX-R was only sold in Japan.
Why is the car missing 15hp? The 2.8 was originally rated at 140hp in the Fiero.
Or go the other way and rename the 911 the 818. Then they can have the 718, 818, and 918.
