Calm down.

I second what HelloKayleigh has to say. I'm the extrovert in my relationship with a very introverted, set in his ways, older boyfriend. We almost broke up because he said he could never live with anyone. I appreciated the honesty, and I'm totally willing to be adaptable but I couldn't move forward knowing my future

Spy, Rev., Green Wing, Spaced and Black Books are all pretty current and funny Britcoms. They are also all available on free Hulu.

Thank you!

This rules.

I'm not in comedy so I can't speak to how that industry treats anyone. But I was a bartender for 20 years so I understand the expectation of being funny (witty, informed, able to banter). What I find so frustrating about this whole debate is that it is about gender, and not about how our art forms create our culture.

Thank you. That's exactlly what it feels like to be an aging woman with a sense of humor anywhere in this society. No matter what, it feels like the second 'they' don't find you fuckable anything you say can be parsed as "woman who gets bitter about misogyny."
