Eh, I did that all the time. Just because the bike can do 165 doesn’t mean that something like a 900SS or my SV doesn’t belong on the track with it. I regularly ran in the “A” group on my SV or my TZ 125. Never had any problems.

Uh, I (and a whole ton of other people) raced a Suzuki SV 650 for years. I also did a ton of track days on it and, other than at courses with really long straights like Road America, had no problem staying with higher powered machines.
