I don't think the plot of the movie is known to anyone outside the project yet. A likelier guess is that the LA Times was trying to explain the basic outline of the series to unfamiliar readers, but their wording was so terrible they ended up associating the plot of the games to the movie.

Seems my prediction was wrong! Steam's got it for 25% off today and tomorrow.

FC3 is an extremely recent release - not even a month old yet. The chances of a discount now are pretty slim.

SMB 1-1 is probably the most well-known and recognized level of any game ever.

This upcoming one will be the fourth reboot [!], actually. Sands of Time, Prince of Persia [2008], and The Forgotten Sands were all big shifts in art, style, gameplay, and story from their predecessors. (Forgotten Sands is debatable, as it's technically part of the Sands of Time "trilogy" in terms of story, but…

It's actually planned as a PC game from the beginning this time, so yes - it almost certainly will be.

Why is it that people who didn't like Square's recent stuff (or much of anything, in your case) think they're going to magically like Versus? It looks similar to the stuff they've been putting out, except in a more modern-day setting and with an even more brooding protagonist. Stupid hairstyles? Versus has 'em too.…
