My only concern is that, at least on my Nikon D5100, the camera must have remote-release selected as the release mode before the remote will do anything at all. And a fourth question, why no HD? The renders were pretty good (if excessive), but maxed out at 480p.

While I don't think it's a deal-breaker, I was missing the whole infinite depth-of-field thing too. Seems like I read that it'd have that somewhere...

SophT's not talking about DoF as much as the fact that it fails to draw the background into focus at all, even when you select it as the focus point. I noticed this in the images as well. If you look at the demo images on Lytro's site, they do not suffer from the same problem.
