Love how the Inateck hard drive enclosure is shown plugged in to the MagSafe port. AFAIK, there’s never been a USB port there on Macs.

Apple has been livestreaming their keynotes for a while now...

More formally, the question is whether URL is an acronym or an intialism. Acronyms are meant to be pronounced as their own word (“earl” or “yurl”), while initialisms are intended to be pronounced as their letters individually (“yoo-arr-ell”). Wikipedia refuses to take sides on this one, not referring to it as either

As I posted in the other thread, the Dell monitor deal is no longer valid. It’s $599 now. The $60 difference was a pricing error that was only supposed to be applied when buying two of them.

Here’s my shot at a rough estimation: Wiki tells me that a typical star-forming nebula is about 100 lightyears across. My rough judgement is that if the camera continued to move, it would take, in total, about 30 seconds to cross the nebula. Divide everything out, and I calculate that the camera is moving at about 104,

Clearly I don’t.

More than a slight decrease. Cell networks depend upon the GPS satellites for their extremely precise timing, necessary for functions like cell hopping and channel changes. As the article mentions, losing the timing signal would have a profound effect before long.

The only thing I thought about while watching this:

Remote-controllable, preferably.

Great tutorial, Giz. Every time I've tried to hide my nukes, the Feds kept finding them. Now I should be able to keep them hidden.

And the pilot gets this:

Ah, you're totally right. Learn something new etc. Still seems like this device would be most effective when used in conjunction with the dust-off.

Activating via the shutter button seems a bit of a fault to me. This would be most useful if it were used simultaneously with the camera's built-in dust-off feature (which charges up the sensor to repel dust), and I highly doubt that you'd be able to actuate the shutter button while in image dust-off mode.

Well, that's a new kind of spam.
