Interlinked with a set of letters from a man to his father. Also a mysterious alien/future voice in the main characters head. My fist real attempt at this, hope to build…

Grew up with the original in the UK. Didn’t realize there was a US dub until I got the DVD box-set and thought “What have they done? This is terrible!”

Would be nice if we get to see it in the UK at the same time, seeing as it’s our £12.30 a month that gets it made.... :)

There’s an Eadweard Muybridge collection in Kingston (near/in London) which happened to be very close to where I studied photography at college. The best thing there was a letter he received from Edison saying something about how Muybridge’s photographs were similar to his own ideas for moving pictures.

It was one of my first DVD purchases in the 90s.

I’ve been re-watching these recently. They’re brilliant ‘cult’ films and any re-make would have to be careful not to overcook it with CGI and back story baggage.
