The real beginning of the book began with the fact that nobody was really paying attention to the cosmic heroes during Civil War. So while that dour crossover was happening, Keith Giffen, Dan Abnett, and Andy Lanning were given free reign to, basically, do whatever they wanted with the space heroes.

Abnet deserves more credit for this franchise’s success. Glad to see this book is bringing it.
