It must be a glorious existence being oblivious, where absolutely everything that happens is a surprise because you weren't paying any attention at all.

1) “Jon Snow is Dead!”

Only cause I'm messing with you, not cause I'm triggered.

It can and it should. But it would also take years, maybe decades before there’s any practical application. Outside of the scope of these movies.

The needs of the many etc etc.

That’s why Voyager had bendy nacelle mounts. They redesigned the technobabble and made it ok.

Did you really want Highlander 3 to acknowledge Highlander 2?

You think technology goes from 'hey, this is possible' to 'deployed systemwide' in 30 months or less? Khan was in Tony Stark past-the-bleeding-edge territory, with risk levels that were undoubtedly totally unacceptable for general use. It will take the rest of the world decades to catch up. Homemade guns are not this huge problem you think they are. People have been making guns at home for personal use for the last 500 years.

When all guns are illegal, there’s no reason for criminals to have anything less than full-auto, home-built Sten clones. Go big or go home.

Trust the government. give them all your passwords and the keys to your house. If you didn’t do anything wrong you have nothing to hide, right?
