This. Doctors make up a disproportionate percentage of my friends (like, almost half). And the ones who went in seeking a stable, high paying career are almost all conservative, and the ones who went in with altruistic reasons are all liberals.

Just because someone is a doctor doesn’t make them an inherently good person. An asshole will always be an asshole no matter what his job is.
