I should also point out that around Tulsa Oklahoma, most of the Outback owners I know are bible thumping conservative gun nuts. They aren’t just for liberal coastal elites now. Seriously, how many Outbacks have you seen with Infowars.com and pro-gun stickers on them? I think they are all in Oklahoma.

Dunno, I have a minivan, which gets me 90% of the way there, and has the added benefit of being dry inside. I even put a tarp down and sometimes run yard waste down to the town green dump, though I usually just stockpile stuff in the trailer and haul it when it’s full.

Modern bikes 29ers and 27.5's don’t fit lengthwise in a 5' Tacoma bed. This will be worse. If you are hauling both bikes, equipment and want any security you either have to run bars over a covered bed or put a shell on and put the bikes on the roof or hitch rack.
