Think about it for a second. If the early access is on the 9th September - and that early access is for 48 hours only - then that would mean the Beta would hit on the 11th of September. Not the best choice of date.

Except the SPECACT Skin and 10 Exclusive Dog-Tags. I'm betting the SPECACT Skins will have to be bought.

PC Limited Edition owners get an exclusive venue filled with unique objects. Whatever that means.

Just out of curiosity, who actually gets the money from the car? The local council/government?

They let kids drive around in these types of car when they're still not on full licenses? JEEEZUZ. Here in Sydney, cars that are eight cylinder, turbo or supercharged aren't even allowed to be touched by those still without their full license.

Picture #2 - Next Photoshop Contest.

I would love to get this game based solely on the Single-Player; I enjoyed the SP portions of MW and MW2 since they really had that overall "Red Dawn" feel to it. Too bad 99.95 AUD is a high price for the SP alone - and since I'm not interested in the Multiplayer I may have to resort to "unorthodox" methods of just

Do amphibious invasions still count as naval battles? Anyhow, I wonder if Chinese artillery can reach Taiwan from its South East coast. Probably.

I'm not that concerned about the absence of mods - after all, I'm sure that the base-game of BF3 will be more than sufficient even though mods would have certainly add variety to the gameplay. Anyhow, I'm confident that mods will make it to BF3 eventually for public release; I'm just hoping that it won't take too long.

A smart person chooses his battle. Steam or Activision?

Screenshot #7 - is that cs_office? Oh boy, I loved that map.

Is there any equivalent to Ace Combat on PC? *Please don't say HAWX* Gosh, I just wished this game wasn't console-exclusive.

End of Nations. It's clearly a RTS title.

I'm more surprised by the fact that Apple didn't release it at June/July this year - that was the more surprising news; the fact that they're pushing the release date to a period where they usually announce updates to their iPod lineup.

Well... the iPhone plays games? And the fact that Kotaku also runs a 'Gaming App of the Day' column...

I suspect the 6850 will more than likely be able to hold its own when your playing BF3 - but then I've yet to see the official Recommended Specs for this game yet so I can't really give a strong accurate judgement. :/

They were running dual GTX 580's at Gamescon.

If you played Bad Company 2 - it's equivalent to Harvest Day... and then some.

From what I understand, DICE is making some updates to the 3D Spotting for BF3. While you'll still be able to spot infantry, once they move out of your line of sight - you won't be able to spot them except for them appearing on your map. However, for vehicles it seems like it'll be of similar function as that of BC2.

I'm not exactly sure as to the scopes of destruction involved with certain buildings (eg. skyscrapers), but in Bad Company 2 - the Frostbite Engine allowed buildings to be destroyed to some extent once they had been weakened substantially, such as by blowing off the walls. This meant in Multiplayer, you were able to
