My friends and I have looked over this car, and compared it to other sports cars of the day. Honestly, its so unique, I agree, you really can't pinpoint it's place in history just by looking at it. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a car look like this coming out of a factory right now.

As much as GM has a history of screwing around with numbers, your argument is that even with all the scrutiny of the government, and every media outlet keeping their eyes on them like hawks, that they would keep playing with numbers just doesn't make sense.
