It seems more suitable for a company like Analogue than a game studio.

IIRC, it wasn’t a new format they made for the vita, but one that they’d been using in their digital cameras. It was the same story with the original PSP and the duo memory sticks. The vita came out right at the tail end of Sony attempting to push their own proprietary formats over SD.

Dragonball tried to step away from Goku in the Cell saga of DBZ. I feel like they got a toned down version of fans’ reaction to that. Hopefully we don’t hit Like a Dragon 11 in the future where 5 of the 9 recruitable party members are alternate versions of Kiryu.

Funny, when the book is clearly pushing its own social justice values onto readers.

If it means I never have to hear someone say “Why do they call this game Yakuza when the main character leaves the Yakuza in the first five minutes” for any future entries in the series, I’m 100% here for it.

If you work in an office with a coffee maker, or a water dispenser that can dispense particularly hot water, just start keeping packets of instant oatmeal on you. 10 seconds of pouring near-boiling water and you have a hot meal.

I wonder how many folks in the high risk groups can even take the vaccine. I imagine the elderly should be fine, but live vaccines are high on the list of no-nos for me as an immunocompromised person.

I’ve made my peace with the fact that people who aren’t into that kind of game consider D&D, Magic, and Warhammer to be board games.

This is good, and I’m glad they reversed course, but let’s be real about Early Access Patreons. In the majority of cases, Patreon is used as a way to sell a subscription to something receiving continuous development, not a way to get early access to something intended to be sold once as a standalone product. It can be

Looks like the talk has been subtitled in english on youtube. Nice.

Yikes. This kind of garbage is why I ended up buying a Tesla despite thinking the Ioniq 5 is a much more attractive EV. Looking forward to the slow adoption of 100% online sales for EVs going forward. Some larger manufacturers are already laying the groundwork down by creating legally separate entities they can sell

The art style feels like it flies a little too close to that weird corporate clip-art style to me (Apparently it’s called Corporate Memphis?), but as long as it’s still Monkey Island underneath, I’m sure it’s forgivable.

The important thing to note here is that absolutely none of the things mentioned in the story of that dystopian future are things specifically enabled by blockchain. None of those items are going to cross over between games unless the developers are working together, and absolutely none of that is unable to be done

I was excited until I checked my steam and realized I actually own them all already.

As someone who works near Philly, I can confirm that “you guys” is a faux pas, as it will cause anyone you aren’t directly looking at to think they’re not included. You should be using “Youse guys” instead.

Yeah, I’ve certainly been in cheap places that were like coffins. A very damp room in Asakusa comes to mind. Closet-sized and with a cracked window, but it was a one-bed room in the heart of Tokyo for $20 a night. I think I’d rather pay for an expensive capsule hotel than spend another night there, though, and I say

It can depend on the hotel. I stayed with two friends in a very nice Ryokan in the Fuji Five Lakes region where we all stayed comfortably in one room, and the price was very much based on the number of us taking up that room. It would have been nearly one third of the price for a single person to book the room.

Might be reasonable for a one-night stay if you’ve got a couple friends coming with, assuming the price doesn’t go up too much.

“Keep your politics out of my games”, an American sitting on a couch somewhere angrily tweets out to the studio based in a city where fleeing civilians are actively being targeted with bombs.
