Out of pocket is a perfectly normal term, if used to mean someone is paying for something with their own personal money, or that the company is paying for something that would normally be reimbursed or otherwise covered. If they’re using it to mean something else... I don’t know what to say about that.

I can’t imagine why you’d want to. The pokemon games have always let you save whereever you want, and only allowed a single save slot. The only difference is the number of times you have to hit the A button.
