It’s fanart. They didn’t take the easy way, they took the safe way. They created something new out of love for the source material. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Stardew Valley got by on a lot of positive press coverage. It was a solid game, but don’t take that to mean the gaming marketplace is a pure meritocracy. For every Stardew Valley, there’s a handful of excellent games that go almost completely unnoticed due to a bad release date, insufficient advertising funds, or pure

I have to disagree. It’s a matter of what you want to get out of it. Obviously, you can’t get money out of a fangame, but if they’d made it a pokemon clone instead of a fangame, there’d be nowhere near the press and downloads they currently have. New games are flooding the market at an unprecedented rate, and having

Am I the only one who feels an air of smugness coming out of this, rather than just chill? It feels more like they’re saying “Our game has already been downloaded 1.5 million times. Nintendo is incapable of stopping anyone who wants to from playing this now.”

Re-Breaking Edit:

BREAKING EDIT:

That’s kinda the point though. The wii was when Nintendo pretty much stopped directly competing with the other consoles. Sure, there were some situations where people had to choose between all three consoles, but anyone looking for a second console after the 360/ps3 ended up with a wii, and the wii captured markets

The core of the system is in the handheld, with a ‘home base’ that can boost the overall power(I honestly don’t even know if/how this is possible, not a hardware guy like, at all)

Being on a different level of power generally means you don’t get multiplatform titles. The wii had a fairly strong roster of third party titles once you scrape away the shovelware. It just stands that anything that was a ps3/360 game was very unlikely to also see any sort of wii release.

Wait, wait. The wii had limited third party support? When did that happen? The wii had preposterous amounts of third party support, moreso than any previous nintendo console. It’s just that a lot of it was made up of budget titles and games aimed at nontraditional game audiences.

Having one lane open to the side of the bus seems like the most sane option.

Do they play the games? I remember reading that the developer is supposed to send in a few minutes of video displaying average content of the game, as well as images of all the most objectionable content therein.

The best subreddit for finding a group would actually be /r/lfg. There’s also the Looking For Group forums on roll20's website.

Yeah, like MoonsBane said, there have been a number of older games that directly translated a (somewhat stripped down) version of D&D rules into a video game format. Neverwinter Nights, Baldur’s Gate...

Surprise! It was me, Dagoth Ur all along!

Whoa, this game looks really cool. Is it coming out on Steam?

Game’s Engine? You sure this wasn’t just made in SFM using Fallout assets?

Where’s the slowpoke tail? It’s a delicacy!
