I’m a game design teacher and one of the assignments I do is making a magazine ad for whatever game they’re creating. This is one of the examples I show them. I love it’s simplicity, yet it does such a great job of drawing your attention while capturing the dread of the game.

Why bother “remastering” them now then if they’re just going to look outdated in five years? Guess it’ll be time to touch them up again. And again five years after that.

Don’t talk about shit with confidence when you don’t know the truth.. if that were the reason then they wouldn’t be removing the games from console storefronts too. The PS4 versions ran fine, yet they were removed too. 

They are super easy to get running on PC and have far better controls than they do on consoles. Its not like people havent played these games in 20 years. 

The originals are good and plenty of 10 year olds figured out the controls in 2001. Everybody should be able to see the lineage of the series if they’d like.

The question is, before the remake, how much would it have cost to get these three iconic games? Probably like $10 a piece before they were pulled from the Steam store so they could sell this remake.
