I've never liked comments like that. Somehow brings me back to grammer school when someone would make them feel cool by making fun of someone else. Politicians do it all the time as well and I think that stinks also. It's one thing to say "I'm awesome because I've done all this cool stuff"...it's

I'm just waiting for the first instance of you sitting down enjoying some action pact multiplayer gaming….and having your significant other come into the room (pissed because you game all the time) and yell "XBOX OFF CONFIRM"…end awesome multiplayer session :P

Yeah, unfortunately it's not just Microsoft. Remember the PS3? You wanted backwards compatibility?….Here you go!!….2 years later they stop selling that model. Check it out!! We have linux!!!….oh not anymore. Hey, we have gamesharing with up to 3 frends!!….oh wait a minute, that was too many….it's only 2 now. Everyone

I agree. I view what M$ is doing as yanking off the bandaid fast vs slow. It might be painful in the short term but it could possibility pay off in the long term. I'm curious to see how it comes out. If M$ bows to popular opinion and doesn't stick to their vision I think it sets a precedent that might might inhibit

You're welcome. I find the unbridled hate and rabble rousing to be entertaining. I'm a true gamer. I've owned every console for the past 3 generations with only a couple exceptions. If folks don't don't want an xbox then they certainly shouldn't buy one. I am looking forward to experiencing M$ has to offer.

I think we'll see console gaming go all digital eventually.... I think that if M$ had left well enough alone the whole issue would have eventually solved itself. The popularity of digital downloads shows where the wind is blowing and we'll get there eventually. I think Microsoft would have been better off easing folks

Probably the best showing I've seen Microsoft do in many a year.

I concur. I am not really concerned about the 24 hour check in myself. I can't speak for other folks of course. More and more of what's part of the console experience is online to a great degree. Single player games seem overall to be on the decline. This is not to say that there aren't any great single player games
