I still consider this to be general good advice. Deadlines usually mean programmer slave labour and rushed products on the shelves. I believe (hope?) Ubisoft is just trying to deliver the best possible experience of the game on Wii U's unique Gamepad.

Did you notice that it's also the only console with a different Gamepad? And quite a different online structure and number of users, something I assume will impact some of the gameplay mechanics of this game.

It's certainly possible, but we can't know for sure until someone at Ubisoft finally steps up and dismisses all the rumours once and for all.
