They are still quite unique and I really like the way events are accurate up to the release date of "Aerobiz Supersonic" and afterwards, the game throws around possible future scenarios like randomizing cities where the Olympic Games will happen, the odd war here and there, natural catastrophes... and of course,

Hmm... I think I will stick to SNES "Aerobiz" and it's superior sequel "Aerobiz Supersonic", thank you very much.

I really enjoy the naval bits, they were the best part of ACIII and I'm glad Ubisoft is considering an all naval warfare game without Assassin's Creed in it. The engine would be perfect for a "Sid Meyer's Pirate's" revival! However, my time consuming distractions are far, far worse... just released:
