As we speak, I'm in the middle of reporting and writing a lengthy story for this afternoon, which you'll see shortly, for free. Yesterday, I spent several hours of my weekend transcribing interviews for more stories which you'll see this week, for free. Last week, while I was on vacation, I spent about 80% of my time…
Sadly, it's the only thing about the game (at least the Beta) that's any good at all. Which may be why it's distracting. It's the only element worth noticing. This really, really feels like an MMO to me. And I'm sure anyone who buys it will be paying for it like it's an MMO (plus the $60 launch price and mandatory PSN…
We call it the Three Stooges Syndrome!
His name is Link. The second game is "The Adventure of Link" and the fourth is "Link's Awakening". And in Zelda 1, I think Zelda says "Thanks Link, you're the hero of Hyrule" regardless of what you named your file.
In Japan, the Rising Sun design was used well before World War II, and it even has a religious meaning, appearing in depictions of the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu (below). The flag is still flown by the Japanese military. Today in Japan, defenders of the design often compare the Rising Sun to Germany's Iron Cross,…
Three games in fifteen years is the definition of restraint in this industry. If Nintendo were like any other developer of its size we'd have a new Smash every October like clockwork, with lots of preorder bonuses and cutscenes voiced by b-list celebrities. And maybe every 5th sequel would have something moderately…
Midna will be teaming up with Link (in his Wolf form, of course) for her appearance in Zelda: Hyrule Warriors, where she'll be using some pretty neat transformation-based magic to kick some ass.
I WANT Nintendo to buy them. Nintendo is the only company who would treat megaman right. I don't think any other comapny, at least the ones that could afford to buy Capcom, would even attempt to make a new megaman game. And if we could just forget about having any more Phoenix Wright games.
Why not? Capcom's legacy lives for the most part on Nintendo consoles.
Studio time, hiring a voice director or two, auditions, travel expenses if need may be for the voice actors, and voice actor pay. Those tend to add up
I can almost feel Capcom's silent hate intensifying.
Nintendo may be batshit crazy sometimes, but Miyamoto is right on the money with his statement, no question....no contest.
I too get tired of all the gritty, bloody, cursing games (not just shooters, though most are) sometimes. That's why I love to play games like Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, TearAway, and most Nintendo games. It's just nice to have unadulterated fun sometimes without blood splashing everywhere :)
Sheesh, did Amaterasu perform a Brown Rage on your front doorstep or something?
