It’s understandable. Fans tend to be bad at tempering their expectations*. And with Metroid, the bar has been set so high, repeatedly, that when an entry does fall short it’s all the more shocking to them.

Idk thats kind of a reach there.. they are remaking the game not building a brand new one. The template and foundation was already there and to be honest there is only like one known bad metroid game(and honestly no one complains about other m’s gameplay.. they complain about the story) I think we tend to over react…
Good, because if you’d read the article, you would see that it’s people like you who were the reason whole countries were unable to play and enjoy the game
If this was Jezebel, the title would’ve been “Entitled White Male Harasses Chinese Woman Online, Gets What He Deserves.”
And that’s one of the reasons it was taken down. People acting like idiots because a Pokemon is nearby.
this is what gets me about all this, people are complaining they spent money and demanding refunds, when its fully possible to play the game without spending a dime. its free to download and free to play, any money you spend is your own fault.
well like i said in another post the majority of the frustration is coming from a small group of players that don’t know how to chill out and be patient
The tracker is woefully inaccurate and won't update even if that Pokemon has despawned.
This is a free app.
It’s grounds for a refund if you paid for the game but you didn’t it’s free. The micro-transactions that you paid for aren’t affected by the tracking system. The tracking system doesn’t directly effect the pokeballs, lures, incense etc that you buy.
Like a modern game studio? You mean like modern Sony who kept hush hush about a major account leak? Or like EA who has become a running gag of day 1 on-disc DLC and refused to change those tactics? Or how 38 Studios, the studio that lost 75 million dollars of tax payer money and went bankrupt?
demanded refund because they made you play their game the way they want you to play it, the way its written in the user agreement... says a lot about you
This online outcry is bullshit. The “biggest fans” aren’t turning against it. The online community hivemind is throwing a fit as usual. Outside the internet echo chamber, plenty of people are just shrugging off the game’s growing pains and are happy to be out playing pokemon with other people.
You and your wife should probably take a Xanax.
Gamers on Day 1: “Pokemon Go is amazing! It’s like the thrill of the game’s adventure in real life! You explore more, take more risks, meet new people! It’s changing the world!”
Sorry, I really kind of just want a little bitty response from you, because this went down in one of two ways.
Either you:
A) Know how to throw things away, and therefore know the solution to your nonexistent problem, and are passing off things that mildly annoy you as a design flaw because you’re a poke-pacifist…
I just think most of us find it hard to believe you aren’t getting *any* pokeballs. It just sounds a little .... Farfetch’d... :D
Anything online with a comments section will look like a “massive failure”. Nerds are loud online, but quiet otherwise.
Insane how quick the turnaround on this game has been from incredibly fun, social media darling to near total failure.
